greenValue GmbH (opm) – Video on the construction of the Thierbach biomethane plant published

greenValue, the information and consulting company based in Schwaig near Nuremberg, has published a new video on the realization of the Thierbach biomethane plant. As part of the transferred project management, greenValue accompanied the project with an hourly feed-in output of 700 Nm³ from the groundbreaking ceremony to the first biomethane feed-in.

“With the published video, greenValue uses the photos taken during the construction phase to impressively show how the biomethane feed-in system is gradually being built on the site of the former Thierbach brown coal power plant. With several thousand employees, the power plant, which can be seen again and again, was once an important regional employer. Today, the biomethane plant secures jobs in agriculture for service providers and operational staff. In the biogas plant, biogas is produced from renewable raw materials fed into the gas network in purified form as biomethane,” explains Daniel Kellermann, Managing Director of greenValue GmbH. The energy is enough to power 3,200 households.

With over 500,000 km of pipeline length and its gas storage facilities, the natural gas network allows energy storage and transport. At the point of need, the biomethane can be extracted and converted into electricity and heat or used as fuel. “The Thierbach biomethane feed-in plant makes an important contribution to the expansion of renewable energies,” summarizes Daniel Kellermann.
