greenValue GmbH (opm) – New publication guide on environmental and renewable energy investments

[Nuremberg, October 17, 2008] greenValue GmbH, operator of the independent information portal www.greenvalue.de, announces the publication of the new guide on environmental and renewable energy investments.

The 254-page guide addresses investments in wind power, photovoltaics, biogas, biomass and geothermal energy funds. Compared to the previous edition, chapters on investments in forestry, private equity and individual photovoltaic systems have been added. “With the editorial contributions from 10 providers, it was possible to incorporate additional expert knowledge from practice into the guide,” explains author Daniel Kellermann. With a view to the turbulence on the stock markets, the author says, “These investments are not made on stock exchanges, but rather flow into specific projects. Investors are therefore spared the ups and downs of the stock markets.”

With a foreword by Federal Environment Minister Sigmar Gabriel, the guide is divided into four areas

  • Part A “Social Background” addresses the development of the energy market and the regulations of the Renewable Energy Act (EEG).
  • Part B “Technical Background” describes the forms of energy production from wind power, solar energy at home and abroad, biogas and biomass as well as geothermal energy.
  • Part C “Personal Commitment and Personal Gain” illustrates how closed energy funds work using the example of a solar fund. The section covers an investment’s legal and tax implications in a very condensed form.
  • Part D also includes the introduction of private equity investments, forest investments, profit participation rights and individual photovoltaic systems.
  • Part E “Appendix” concludes the guide with an overview of important links on the Internet, numerous contact addresses for providers and 20 company introductions from well-known initiators.

The guide to environmental and renewable energy investments is primarily aimed at private investors who want to obtain neutral and independent information about investments in closed environmental and renewable energy funds. It is also aimed at entrepreneurs and institutions active in renewable energies, such as financial service providers, banks, institutional investors, utilities, and medium-sized companies.

Orders can be made in bookstores under ISBN 978-3-9808336-6-0 for 18.50 euros.

Publication is free of charge, and a specimen copy should be sent to greenValue GmbH.
